Dr. Johnson graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato and received her doctorate from The Ohio State University's College of Optometry.  She graduated with honors and as a member of the optometric honor society.  Training includes the diagnosis and management of ocular diseases, specialty contact lens fitting, pediatrics, and primary vision care.  Externship training was accomplished at the VA clinic in Canton, OH, White Earth Indian Health Services, Eye Specialists of Ohio and Winchester Vision Care.

When not practicing optometry she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and three children.
